This agreement is only between the seller (Logan Allphin) and the Original puppy buyer ____________________. If the puppy is sold, given away, ect. This contract is void immediately.
Any and all buyer expenses incurred while traveling to pick up or visit dogs or puppies from seller ie: (airfare, gas, rentals-car or hotel) are not the responsibility of Fawn Lane Shetland Sheepdogs (Logan Allphin) and are NOT included in the purchase price.
Deposits to hold a dog/puppy are deducted from the total purchase price. This deposit is non-refundable if buyer decides not to purchase the dog. The buyer has one week from the time the puppy turns 8 weeks of age to arrange and pick up, unless otherwise agreed upon. If a puppy is not picked up or prior arrangements are not carried out within one week of the puppy turning 8 weeks old, the seller will assume the buyer is no longer interested and the puppy will be offered to the next person in line/placed back for sale and the buyer will forfeit their deposit.

In the event that the chosen Dog is not available due to sickness, death or any other circumstances owing to the fault of Seller, Buyer’s deposit will, at Buyer’s option, be either (i) refunded, or (ii) transferred to the next litter of puppies.

At the time of the final sale the dog/puppy will be up to date on recommended vaccinations and wormings as well as general healthcare and will be deemed to be in good health by a veterinarian. A current health record will be provided.

The puppy must be examined by a veterinarian of your choosing within 3 days of pick-up (starting next working day if puppy/dog is picked up on a weekend day) or the warranty is void. Please contact the seller if your veterinarian has wait times that exceed the 3-day maximum. If the puppy/dog is deemed ill via written and signed statement by a licensed veterinarian within those 3 days, the puppy/dog may be returned to seller and buyer will be given a full refund. (Any issues discussed and agreed upon, if any- prior to the sale are not grounds for deeming a puppy not suitable as a pet or companion). Travel to and from seller for return of puppy if so, should be deemed necessary is NOT the responsibility of the seller. Before any refund is due to buyer for deemed illness, the puppy/dog shall be returned to the seller physically along with any and all paperwork including hard copies of the illness statement by the veterinarian who deemed the puppy/dog ill. Seller shall have 3 business days to process the refund to the buyer, but only after the puppy is returned to the seller. The refund issuance type shall be agreed upon by both parties during this time frame (check, electronic transfer, money order ect.)

**Dehydration, Diarrhea, Hypoglycemia, Coccidia, Kennel Cough, Internal and External Parasites, Giardia, Fungal Infections, or any condition that can be corrected by veterinarian treatment and any other preventable conditions are not covered.

*Puppies only*- Warranty Information:

Failure to have the puppy examined by a vet within three days of the puppy’s delivered/picked up date or if the Buyer fails to provide required immunizations and medical treatment will void this health guarantee.

This puppy sold as stated above is guaranteed to be free from fatal hereditary defects for which may develop prior to 1 year of age. Only If the puppy develops a fatal hereditary defect which makes the puppy unsuitable as a companion/pet prior to 1 year of age a written statement from a licensed veterinarian should be provided to seller in a timely manner. In this case, as stated previously the buyer will be expected to physically return the puppy and will be refunded 50% of the original purchase price OR buyer will be granted a new puppy from the seller’s choosing, whichever option buyer would like. Once again, seller is NOT responsible for travel expenses related to returning the puppy. This agreement will be submitted in writing and signed- to the seller within 5 business days. If the buyer chooses a 50% refund of the original purchase price, seller has 30 days to submit the refund via agreed upon issuance type, as well as buyer having 30 days to return the puppy/dog. *Refund will NOT be issued before the puppy is physically returned.
If the puppy should die from a suspected congenital/hereditary defect within 12 months of its birth date, an autopsy must be performed at the purchaser’s expense by a veterinarian. If the autopsy shows a fatal congenital defect as the reason for death, the seller will provide another puppy of equal value to the purchaser. A written statement from the licensed veterinarian must be provided with the Seller’s name. The guarantee is void in the event of an indeterminable or inconclusive diagnosis.
Conditions not considered life threatening and therefore not covered include but not limited to luxating patella, hernias of any kind, collapsed trachea, parasites etc. If the condition can be treated, it is NOT considered life threatening. In the event of a life threatening condition the affected puppy must be returned with all veterinary documentation at the Buyer’s expense prior to a 50% refund or a replacement puppy is given.
It should be noted that puppies change a lot from birth to adulthood. Puppies are sold as quality specimens of the breed (shetland sheepdog). Seller makes no claims as to how a puppy will turn out as far as being deemed “show quality”, having physical or visible flaws or temperament-which relies heavily on a puppies environment, interactions and experiences- and cannot be held liable in that aspect.
If sold on limited registration, the puppy shall be spayed or neutered by 1 year of age. If the dog sold is greater than 1 year old the buyer has 4 months or 120 days to have the dog spayed or neutered. Puppies or dogs sold on a limited registration contract are NOT intended for breeding, and should not be used to do so. If the buyer wishes to breed their dog, they should notify the seller so arrangements can be made to change registration to full, but only after agreed upon terms have been met.
Lastly, we strive to produce healthy, beautiful Shetland sheepdogs. If at any time the buyer needs advice, tips or help locating resources we want to be your first contact. We love all of our dogs and new puppies profoundly and want to see them in wonderful lasting homes-which we know you will provide. Please remember if you are ever unable to keep your puppy or dog regardless of age, we need to be the first notified and reserve the right to be offered return sale before offering the puppy/dog to outside persons.
Please keep in touch! We would love to form relationships with our new dog/puppy buyers (moms & dads). <3
